According to Trump, Levitt has taken this decision to give more time to the family. The President praised her work and said that she will continue to play her role as a top advisor to the Republican Party.
Levitt, who worked as press secretary in the Trump administration for about 18 months, has described her tenure as a memorable experience. He posted on social media platform X and described his decision as a 'bitter-sweet' experience.
'Becoming White House Press Secretary is the greatest honor of life'
Leavitt said that serving as White House press secretary for the past year and a half has been the greatest honor and thrill of her life. He expressed gratitude for his time spent in the Oval Office, trips to different parts of the world and the opportunity to convey President Trump's message to the public.
Describing her return to work after the birth of her daughter, Levitt said that juggling the responsibilities of one of the most demanding jobs in the world while welcoming a child has been both honoring and extremely challenging.
She said that due to the constant time, energy and attention she devoted to the duties of press secretary, she was not able to give her two children the best mother they deserved. For this reason he took the difficult decision to leave the post.
