Tezzbuzz Desk – Standup comedian Samay Raina has got a big relief from the Supreme Court in the controversial case to 'India's Got Latent'. The court has ordered to cancel all the FIRs registered against Samay Raina and others for allegedly making insensitive remarks about disabled people.
This case was to an episode of the first season of the show, in which there was a lot of controversy after alleged objectionable remarks were made about disabled people. When the matter gained momentum, FIR was registered at different places against many people associated with the show including Samay Raina.

Apart from Samay Raina, FIR was also registered against Vipul Goyal, Balraj Ghai, Nishant Tanwar and Sonali Thakkar in this case. After the latest decision of the Supreme Court, all of them have got relief.
Following the court's direction, Samay Raina not only provided financial help to organizations working for disabled people but also participated in awareness programs. Apart from this, he also organized a competition to chess.
The court considered the efforts important
During the hearing of the case, the social work done by Samay Raina and other accused was also mentioned before the court. Keeping these efforts in mind, the court ruled to cancel all the FIRs.
While delivering the verdict, the court said that when true efforts are made, positive results emerge. The court also said that all these youth are talented and if they have started working in the right direction, the results should also be positive.
