In his message issued on the eve of Independence Day, the Chief Minister has said that Uttarakhand is proud of its military tradition, bravery and glorious heritage of patriotism. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is moving forward rapidly on the path of development. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, work on various development schemes worth about Rs 2 lakh crore is going on in the state. Uttarakhand is playing an important role in fulfilling Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's resolve of a developed India.
More than 30 new policies have been implemented
The Chief Minister said that more than 30 new policies have been implemented to encourage industrial development and investment in the state. The development of villages in border areas is being accelerated through the Chief Minister Frontier Area Development Scheme and Vibrant Village Scheme. 'House of Himalayas' brand has been started with the aim of making the local products of Uttarakhand available in the domestic and foreign markets. Along with Apple, Kiwi and Dragon Fruit Mission, aromatic agriculture is also being promoted in the state.
More than 34 thousand appointments were made
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has become the first state of independent India to implement Uniform Civil Code. The law made to stop religious conversion is being implemented effectively in the state. In accordance with public sentiments, strict land law has been implemented in the state. Strict action has been taken against the copying mafia by effectively implementing the anti-copying law. Transparency and timeliness are being ensured in the recruitment processes, as a result of which more than 34 thousand appointments have been made in government services in the state in the last five years.

He said that Center for Hindu Studies has been established in Doon University for in-depth study of Indian culture, philosophy and history. Uttarakhand is also among the leading states in implementing the new education policy. Wedding destination as well as film shooting
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand's identity has been rapidly established in the country as a tourism and wedding destination as well as a film shooting destination. As a result of better travel management and arrangements of the state government, more than 47 lakh devotees have come on Chardham Yatra so far this year, while in the famous Kanwar Yatra, about 5 crore Shiva devotees have returned safely to their destination carrying the holy Ganga water. Along with conducting the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, an important initiative has also been taken to encourage winter travel in the state.
With 30 percent horizontal reservation
The Chief Minister said that the state government has decided to give 30 percent horizontal reservation to women in government services and also 33 percent reservation in cooperative societies. Women are being made self-reliant and empowered through various schemes including Chief Minister Women Empowerment Scheme, Lakhpati Didi Scheme. Interest-free loans up to Rs 5 lakh are being provided to women self-help groups. So far, more than 03 lakh Lakhpati Didis have been made in the state.
Helpful in creating a prosperous and self-reliant state
The Chief Minister said that the benefits of development should reach the last person of the society and no area of the state should be deprived of the mainstream of development, it is our resolve. With the basic mantra of public service, good governance, transparency, sensitivity and Antyodaya, the state government is continuously striving towards making Uttarakhand the leading state of the country. On the occasion of Independence Day, the Chief Minister has also appealed to the people of the state to cooperate in making Uttarakhand an ideal, developed, prosperous and self-reliant state.
