After the government, the Yogi government of UP is now going to give a big gift to the teachers of private schools also. Now they will also be able to get the benefit of 'Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme'. With this decision, about three lakh teachers of private schools of the state are expected to get direct relief.

After government and aided schools, now data of teachers of about 35 thousand private schools of the state has also been sought. Under this scheme, teachers and their dependents will be given the benefit of free treatment. On the other hand, preparations have also been completed to send Rs 1200 each to the bank accounts of ten lakh children studying in government schools.

How will you get the benefits of the scheme and what is the process?

Strict instructions have been issued by Basic Education Director Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi to the Basic Education Officers (BSA) of all the districts. Under this, a specially developed portal for cashless medical scheme. [ But registration will be mandatory. A proforma for this has been sent to all the districts and on this the complete details of the teachers will have to be verified and sent to the directorate. Teachers will enter the information of themselves and their dependents only as per the official identity card.

In the first phase of the application, it will be sent to the headmaster of the concerned school for verification and approval. In case the appointment of the teacher by the headmaster is as per the rules and he is working continuously, the application will be scrutinized and forwarded to the concerned Block Education Officer (BEO).

If a teacher leaves the school midway, then this information will have to be immediately given to the District Basic Education Officer through the Block Education Officer, so that that teacher can be excluded from this scheme. Finally, after the application is approved by the District Basic Education Officer level, the verification process will be considered complete. Under the scheme, a teacher family will get free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh per year.

You will get Rs 1200-1200 to buy dress and shoes and socks

At the same time, 10 lakh students studying in government council primary and upper primary schools of UP will soon be given Rs 1200-1200 to buy dresses, shoes-socks and stationery. This amount will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the parents through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). Teachers will motivate parents to buy uniform and other necessary items for the child with this amount. Besides, inquiries in this regard will also be made in the Parents-Teachers Meeting (PTM), so that all the students come to school wearing proper uniform.

At present a total of 1.35 crore students are studying in council schools. This amount has already been sent by the Basic Education Department to the accounts of parents of 1.10 crore students. There are new admissions in schools every year—especially admissions to Class 1 and Class 6, along with new students joining other classes as well. The government also focuses on increasing enrollment in council schools.

In this series, this amount will be given to new students and some old students who could not get the benefit of DBT earlier due to some reasons. Data of 10 lakh such students has been prepared and the amount will be sent soon. Linking the bank accounts of the parents of the remaining 15 lakh students with Aadhaar and other paper processes are being completed. As soon as the verification is complete, money for purchasing dresses, shoes, socks etc. will be sent to their accounts.
