Digital renders of the facelift version of Mahindra’s popular SUV Scorpio Classic for years have been revealed even before its official launch. These pictures have revealed the possible design changes in this long-selling SUV. However, Mahindra & Mahindra has not yet given any official confirmation on these renders.

Honeycomb grille and new front bumper: What will the new look be like?

According to the pictures, the new Scorpio Classic has replaced the existing vertical-slat grille with a new front grille with honeycomb or mesh pattern. Along with this, a large silver colored faux skid plate has been included in the lower part of the bumper.

The headlight shape remains the same as the current model, but the fog-lamp housing has been updated. Chrome garnish can now be seen in place of the LED DRLs found on the existing bumper, although it is not yet clear whether new DRLs will be added inside the headlight cluster or not.

What changed in the side profile?

Limited changes have been made to the side profile of the SUV:

• Turn indicators: Now removed from the front fenders and shifted directly to the outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs).
• Fender Garnish: The garnish found on the front-fender has been given a new look.
• Side Cladding: The door and wheel-arch cladding are clean and freshly designed without chrome or silver inserts.

What is special for the customers?

Scorpio Classic is always in demand in the Indian auto market. If Mahindra implements these cosmetic changes in the production model, the upcoming updated version may see a slight price increase. At present, the sale and booking of Scorpio Classic present in the market is continuing as before.
