Shalini Passi recently opened up about her long-standing friendship with Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. Speaking on Times Now Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar’s podcast Baatein Dil Se, Shalini spoke warmly about the Bollywood power couple and described both as kind-hearted and large-hearted people. She also revealed that her connection with SRK and Gauri came through her husband Sanjay Passi, who has known the couple for several years.

 explained how she first came to know Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. Interestingly, the friendship was not initially her own connection with the couple. They were already close to her husband, Sanjay Passi.

"They are actually Sanjay's friends. Gauri and Sanjay were neighbours in Panchsheel, and Shah Rukh and Sanjay studied at the same university and school. So, they are his friends. I only met them when I got married, when I got engaged, basically."

Over the years, Shalini's relationship with Gauri and SRK continued to grow. She particularly spoke fondly about Gauri and described her as someone she considers a beautiful person.

"It has sort of continued over the years because Gauri is lovely. I think she is a beautiful human being. She is from Delhi, and they have great friendships. Sanjay is really good at maintaining friendships."

The friendship has also remained comfortable because of the long association between the families. Shalini suggested that their conversations are not always about the glamorous world of Bollywood. Instead, they can easily talk about familiar memories and shared connections.

She said, "They are like natural human beings, like friends. They talk about old times, old school. Our kids, Robin and Aryan, went to the same university in the same year. So, there is that comfort level and that feeling."

For Shalini, the qualities of Shah Rukh and Gauri go beyond their public image. She believes both are generous people who have also worked hard to reach where they are today. She shared, "I think both Gauri and Shah Rukh would probably be very kind-hearted, large-hearted, and also hardworking. I think he is so obsessive about his craft, and that is just amazing and inspirational."

Shalini Passi first came into the limelight when she appeared in Karan Johar-backed Netflix show Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. She is a Delhi-based art collector, socialite, and philanthropist. She is currently seen in Amazon Prime Video’s The Traitors 2.
