Christina Andrew Makes Her Bollywood Playback Debut With ‘Baby Do Die Do’
Singer Christina Andrew has taken another major step in her musical journey with her work on the Bollywood film ‘Baby Do Die Do’. The singer has lent her voice to two contrasting tracks from the film—‘Kaun Hai Woh’ and ‘Kitni Gardi Hai’—showcasing her versatility across very different musical styles.
For Christina, the opportunity marks an important milestone after more than a decade of professional work in advertising jingles, voiceovers and independent music.
From Jingles to Bollywood
Christina has spent more than ten years working as a professional vocalist, particularly in the advertising and voice-over space. Her experience recording jingles helped her develop the ability to quickly understand the mood and requirements of a recording.
Her Bollywood opportunity came unexpectedly. According to Christina, composer Arjun Iyer first noticed her after a friend shared one of her Instagram posts featuring her cover of Euphoria’s ‘Mehfuz’. What began as a social-media post eventually opened the door to film playback singing.
Two Songs, Two Completely Different Moods
Christina’s contribution to Baby Do Die Do is particularly interesting because the two songs require very different vocal approaches.
‘Kaun Hai Woh’ is a romantic track that required a soft and breathy vocal style. Christina says its melodic and emotional character came naturally to her.
The second song, ‘Kitni Gardi Hai’, presented a much greater challenge. The track has a rap-oriented style and required a more personal, hard-hitting and conversational vocal delivery.
The songs were composed by Arjun Iyer, with Christina working closely with him to achieve the desired sound.
A New Chapter for the Singer
Christina’s film journey did not begin with Baby Do Die Do alone. Her earlier Bollywood playback work included ‘Pichhey Na Vekh’ from Heer Sara. Her work on Baby Do Die Do has now expanded her filmography with two very different tracks.
Her recordings are also officially credited in the film’s soundtrack, which features a broad lineup of singers including Mohit Chauhan, Nakash Aziz, Shahid Mallya, Akasa and others.
Christina Wants to Explore More Genres
Christina says she does not consider herself a singer restricted to one genre. She enjoys experimenting with different musical styles and plans to begin vocal training to continue developing her technique.
Following her experience with Baby Do Die Do, she hopes to work on more films and OTT projects and collaborate with composers whose music she admires.
Her Advice to Aspiring Singers
For young singers hoping to establish themselves through social media, Christina’s experience offers an important lesson: opportunities can sometimes come from unexpected places.
She encourages emerging artists to keep creating and sharing their work online while remaining patient and consistent. Her own journey—from jingles and online covers to Bollywood playback singing—shows how a single piece of content can potentially lead to an unexpected professional opportunity.
The Bottom Line
Christina Andrew’s work in ‘Baby Do Die Do’ marks an exciting new chapter in her career. With ‘Kaun Hai Woh’ showcasing her softer romantic vocals and ‘Kitni Gardi Hai’ allowing her to explore a more challenging rap style, the singer has demonstrated considerable versatility.
After years of working behind the scenes on jingles and voiceovers, Christina Andrew is now establishing herself as a Bollywood playback singer to watch.
