Vijay Bhardwaj started his international career in a very spectacular manner. At the same time, Hemlata Kala played an important role for the Indian women’s cricket team for a long time.

How did Vijay dominate the debut series?

Vijay Bhardwaj was born on 15 August 1975. Vijay Bhardwaj, who bats with his right hand, also used to bowl off spin. He entered international cricket in 1999 during the Tri Series played in Nairobi. Apart from India, teams from Kenya and South Africa were included in this tournament. Bhardwaj performed brilliantly with the ball in his initial matches. He took 10 wickets in the entire series and also played useful innings with the bat when needed. The Indian team benefited from his all-round performance and the team was successful in reaching the finals.

Vijay Bhardwaj’s performance can be gauged from the fact that he was chosen Man of the Series in his very first international series. His debut was very impressive from the point of view of Indian cricket and the expectations of his great performance in future also increased. However, despite performing well in a few matches after this, Bhardwaj could not maintain his place in the team for long. Once out of the Indian team, he could not return to the blue jersey again.

How was Vijay’s career?

Vijay Bhardwaj played 10 ODIs and 3 Test matches for Team India. He scored 136 runs and took 16 wickets in ODI. Apart from this, he scored 28 runs and took only 1 wicket in 3 test matches. In first class cricket, he scored 5,539 runs and took 59 wickets.

His performance in Test cricket was particularly notable and he ended his career with a batting average of over 50.

The biggest feature of Hemlata Kala’s Test career was her excellent batting average. Achieving an average of more than 50 in Test cricket is considered a big achievement for any batsman. However, in ODI cricket she could not achieve impressive figures like in Tests. He scored 1023 runs in 59 innings of 78 ODI matches at an average of 20.87.
