But his father and veteran actor Dharmendra was strict about his decision due to which Sunny Deol’s dream remained unfulfilled.

Sunny Deol recently appeared in the quiz reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. ‘Batwara 1947’ team members Aamir Khan and Preity Zinta were also present with him. During the show, Amitabh Bachchan asked Sunny Deol, ‘We heard that you want to be a racing driver? Formula 1 etc..”

Sunny, while answering this question, said- “Yes, I was very fond of this, I was very fond of driving, as you know, father wanted to do anything like this anywhere in our house, whether we wanted to do sports or anything, at that time due to security… permission was not given… so I stayed in the middle.”

Sunny Deol told that his father Dharmendra was very protective of his children. At that time, he did not allow his children to participate in sports or activities that could involve injury or danger to life.

Racing dream unfulfilled, made a special place in films
Although Sunny Deol could not reach the Formula 1 track, he definitely made his own identity in Hindi cinema. After entering Bollywood with the film ‘Betaab’ in 1983, he gained immense popularity as an action hero.

After this, films like ‘Arjun’, ‘Tridev’, ‘Ghayal’, ‘Damini’, ‘Ghatak’, ‘Border’, ‘Jeet’ and ‘Indian’ strengthened his stardom.
