Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Minister Madan Kaushik reached the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) on Friday and reviewed the relief and rescue operations conducted after the incident in THDC Tunnel located at Pipalkoti in Chamoli district. He took detailed information about the search and rescue operation being conducted to find the missing persons inside the tunnel, treatment of the injured and other relief operations conducted at the spot. Additional Chief Executive Officer Administration Shri Prakash Chandra and Additional Chief Executive Officer Implementation DIG Shri Rajkumar Negi informed the Minister about the progress of relief and rescue operations. Taking information about the status of treatment of the injured, the Minister gave instructions to ensure their proper treatment and necessary medical facilities. He asked to ensure necessary arrangements to transport the dead bodies to their home areas with full respect.
