Sunny Deol's frank statement

Famous Bollywood actor Sunny Deol, known for 'Dhai Kilo Ke Haath', is famous for his films as well as his outspoken views. Even at the age of 68, Sunny recently shared her thoughts openly in a podcast interview. He told why he does not advertise products like Pan Masala and Gutkha and what will be his stand on such offers in future. In Shubhankar Mishra's podcast, Sunny was asked why he does not appear in those advertisements in which other big stars are seen. On this he expressed his views without any hesitation.

Reason for staying away from ads

Sunny clearly said that he does not participate in pan masala advertisements and has no intention of doing so in future. According to him, he gets such offers, but he does not accept them because he does not want to promote things in which he himself does not believe. He said that he does not do many things in life for which his morality does not allow him. At the same time, they have no problem in doing things with which they are comfortable. This is not just a matter of an endorsement or brand deal; This is a decision based on his personal views and principles.

Debate over pan masala advertisements in Bollywood

Sunny clarified his opinion about pan masala and gutkha. He said that he does not believe in these things and does not consider it appropriate to propagate them. The comment comes at a time when Bollywood stars' pan masala ads have once again sparked debate, especially when big stars are associated with a brand whose ads raise questions of surrogate advertising.

Sunny's stay away from advertisements

In the interview, Sunny was also asked that stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Ajay Devgan are active in advertisements, while she is away from advertisements. On this Sunny jokingly said that he does not know why advertisements do not come to him. He also said that there was a time when even film offers were not coming to him, and now he does not have much knowledge about advertisements either.

FDA action

Sunny Deol's statement comes at a time when Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued notices to three big Bollywood stars—Ajay Devgan, Shahrukh Khan and Tiger Shroff—regarding pan masala advertisements. The FDA has sought clarification from these artists regarding their role in a Vimal Elaichi advertisement. The regulator claims that this advertisement may be associated with the Vimal Pan Masala brand and falls within the scope of indirect or surrogate advertising.

activism in films

Although Sunny has decided to stay away from advertisements, she is active in films. Currently, he is seen in 'Batwara 1947', which also stars Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol and Ali Fazal in important roles. This film is based on the story of the time of partition of India. After this, Sunny's next big film is 'Ramayana', in which he will play the role of Lord Hanuman. Overall, Sunny Deol has made it clear that he will not compromise on his principles when it comes to brand endorsements.
