Gold Treasure Found: Renovation work was going on on an old house in the Eastern Flanders area of ​​Belgium. The workers were tasked with removing sewage pipes from within the house's foundation and walls. Meanwhile, while drilling, he saw something shining inside the wall. Initially they thought that maybe there was normal metal or coins buried there, but after some time it was revealed that it was gold.

An 18-year-old student named Kobe, who was doing a summer job during the summer holidays, was also involved in this discovery. He told that initially he thought that these were common coins, but when a gold bar was seen, everyone realized that the matter was very big. Within no time the workers started finding gold coins and bars in large numbers.

According to the site manager present at the spot, there was so much gold there that it was not possible to keep it with us. The workers informed the police without any delay and handed over the entire treasure to the authorities.

Owner can make claim for five years

The property from which this treasure was found is said to be associated with an organization named CAW Oost-Vlaanderen. Officials of the organization have also expressed surprise at this discovery. However, at present neither the workers nor the current owner of the property have any right over the gold.

According to Belgian law, the rightful owner has been given five years to claim the treasure. However, the local government lawyer investigating the case said that it is not yet known who the owner is and if no claimant comes forward within this period and the treasure is not proven to be to any crime, then under the law it is likely to be divided between the person who discovered it and the owner of the property.

Police warned people

As soon as the news of finding the treasure came out, the curiosity of the people in the area increased. The police have appealed to the people not to reach the construction site themselves to look for gold. According to officials, the entire location has been investigated and the recovered gold has been shifted to a safe place.
