If any voter has not been able to submit the enumeration form during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Voter List in Delhi, he will have one more chance to get his name included in the voter list. The Election Commission will start further process in such cases after publishing the draft voter list on August 24. Voters who have submitted the enumeration form but have not entered the details to SIR in the year 2002 will be issued a notice by the Election Commission. After this they will get an opportunity to provide necessary documents and information. At the same time, those voters whose enumeration form could not reach due to change of home address or could not submit the form due to any other reason, will be able to get their name added to the voter list of Delhi by filling Form-6.
You will be able to make claims and objections from 24th August to 23rd September
After the draft voter list is published on August 24, voters will be able to register claims and objections till September 23. During this time, the eligible voters whose names are not included in the list can present their claims as per the prescribed procedure. The facility to fill Form-6 to register as a voter at the new address will also be available. On the basis of freshly submitted forms including Form-6, the Election Commission will get the verification of the concerned voters done. After completion of the verification process, names of voters found eligible will be included in the final voter list.
Final list will be released on October 27
The final voter list will be published on October 27 after the complete process of SIR. In such a situation, for those voters whose names are not in the draft list or who could not submit the counting forms, the claim-objection phase between August 24 and September 23 will be important. According to the Election Commission, the purpose of this process is to give eligible voters an opportunity to get their names included in the voter list.
Notice will be given if records do not match
Information from the enumeration forms submitted during SIR is being matched with old voter records and databases. In cases of voters whose old records are not available or the available information does not match with the database, a notice will be issued by ERO. After this, the voter will have to submit the necessary documents to prove his eligibility as per the prescribed procedure.
Highest number of calculation forms deposited in Rohini
Rohini area has been at the forefront in terms of submission of census forms. Here forms of 83.43 percent i.e. 1,25,478 voters have been received. Whereas in Tughlakabad the least number of counting forms of 52.15 percent voters were deposited. 54.67 percent forms have been submitted in Okhla and 55.54 percent forms have been submitted in RK Puram.
Lowest form in South Delhi
According to area-wise data, the least number of counting forms of 56.32 percent voters have been deposited in South Delhi. That means about 44 percent voters have not been able to submit their forms. In comparison, North Delhi has collected the highest number of 75.68 percent census forms.
These 12 documents will be helpful
Identity card/pension payment order issued to a regular employee or pensioner of the Central or State Government or Public Sector Undertaking. Identity card, certificate or other document issued before 1 July 1987 by the Central or State Government, local body, bank, post office, LIC or PSU in India. Birth certificate issued by the competent authority. Passport. Matriculation certificate issued by a recognized board or university. Permanent residence certificate issued by the competent state authority. Forest Rights Certificate. OBC, SC, ST or other caste certificate. National Register of Citizens (where applicable). Family registers prepared by state or local authorities. Land or house allotment certificate issued by the government. Aadhaar with necessary instructions.
Out of total 1,45,10,299 voters in the capital, only 97,47,879 voters have submitted their counting forms. In such a situation, names of about 47.62 lakh voters will not be included in the draft voter list to be released on August 24. According to the Returning Officer's Office, for those voters whose forms have not been submitted or digitized at this stage, the claim-objection process starting after the draft list will be important. During this time, eligible voters will be able to submit the necessary documents to get their names included in the list.
Claim-objection phase will start from August 24
The draft voter list will be published on August 24, after which voters will get a chance to register claims and objections regarding the names in the list. This process will continue till 23 September. There are total 1,45,10,299 voters in Delhi. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) went door-to-door and provided counting forms to the voters. Till Monday, the last date for form submission, 67.18 percent i.e. 47,62,420 voters have submitted their counting forms. According to the election office, all these forms have also been digitized. At the same time, the counting forms of about 32.82 percent voters could not be submitted. Names of such voters will not be included in the draft voter list.
Names of absent and transferred voters will also be removed
According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, not being able to fill the form alone is not the reason behind not submitting the counting form. There are also a large number of voters who have been absent, transferred or found dead. Apart from this, names of duplicate voters have also been removed. The draft voter list will now be released after the completion of the calculation phase of SIR. With the draft list being published on August 24, voters will get the opportunity to lodge claims and objections till September 23.
