Next-Gen Bajaj Pulsar 125: New Pulsar seen during testing, will be launched soon with TFT console and smart features

Two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto is preparing to launch the new-generation model of its popular bike Pulsar 125 in the Indian market. Before the official launch, this new bike has been seen testing on the roads, which indicates that it may hit the showrooms soon.

TFT display and advanced features

According to the reports, this bike of 125 cc segment will see many major changes at the level of technology and features. The new Pulsar 125 will replace the old semi-digital cluster with a full-digital TFT instrument console. This new dashboard will include smart features like Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts.

Apart from this, updates have also been made in the structure and suspension of the motorcycle:

  • Lighting Setup: It will feature hazard lamps along with full-LED headlamps and tail-lights.
  • Design and Seat: Sporty split seat, new grab handle and updated exhaust (silencer) design has been given.
  • Suspension: For better riding experience, it will get telescopic forks at the front and pre-load adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear.

Engine Capacity and Expected Price

No major changes have been made in the engine of the bike. Like before, it will have a 125 cc single-cylinder petrol engine, which generates power of 8.68 kW (11.8 PS) and torque of 10.8 Nm. This engine comes with 5-speed gearbox.

The official date of launch has not been announced by Bajaj Auto yet, but according to automobile dealers and media reports, it can be launched in the market within the next one to two months. Currently the starting ex-showroom price of Pulsar 125 is ₹92,000. After the addition of new digital features and LED setup, its price is likely to increase by ₹ 2,000 to ₹ 3,000.

Competition has increased significantly in the 125 cc segment in the Indian two-wheeler market. With new tech-enabled features, Bajaj Pulsar 125 will give direct competition to bikes like TVS Raider 125 and Hero Glamor XTEC present in the market.
