Due to this, the child may become silent instead of opening up. In such a situation, understanding the child’s feelings and dealing with them can be helpful. Know 5 easy parenting methods that can strengthen the bonding between child and parent.
1. Don’t bombard me with questions
When the child returns from school, instead of asking how was the day, who did you talk to and what happened, give him some time. Start the conversation in a casual manner instead of making it seem like an interrogation. When the child feels comfortable, he can also share his thoughts.
2. Do not interrupt the child.
When the child starts telling something, avoid immediately giving your opinion or pointing out his/her mistake. Listen to him completely first. This makes the child feel that his feelings are being given importance.
3. Don’t judge everything
If children share any mistake or something that the parents do not like, then one should avoid scolding them immediately. If the child is afraid of being scolded every time he tells something, he may hide his problem the next time. Along with explaining the mistake, it is also important to give assurance that he can express his views openly.
4. Give some quality time every day
Talking to a child doesn’t always require a big activity. Eating together, taking a walk, playing or even talking for a few minutes before sleeping can be a good opportunity. In such small moments, children can easily share their day and their thoughts.

5. Understand the child’s feelings
If the child appears sad, angry or upset, try to understand the child’s emotion. You can ask him how he is feeling and if he wants, he can share his problems with you. This can give the child a feeling of emotional security.
Provide an environment of trust for the child to speak
A child’s ability to talk openly with his parents does not develop in a day. For this, it is important to create such an environment in the house, where the child can share his happiness as well as his fears, mistakes and problems without any hesitation.
Mindful parenting does not mean keeping an eye on the child all the time, but listening to him carefully, understanding his feelings and supporting him in the right way in times of need.
