Southern heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda decided to spend the day relaxing with his parents after his shoot was cancelled due to rain.

On Wednesday, the Arjun Reddy actor took to his official Instagram handle and shared a picture of himself sleeping between his parents, enjoying an afternoon nap in his favourite childhood spot.

For the caption, Vijay wrote, “Rains Canceled shoots – You get an afternoon nap in your favourite spot as a kid ❤ Recovery – 1000% (sic).”

Vijay also credited his wife and actress Rashmika Mandanna for the picture.

Professionally, Vijay and Rashmika, who got married in February this year, will be seen together in the upcoming period drama Ranabaali. The film marks their first on-screen collaboration as a married couple.

Before this, Vijay and Rashmika shared screen space in Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrademaking Ranabaali their third film together.

On June 29, Vijay penned a heartfelt birthday note for Ranabaali Director Rahul Sankrityan.

“Happy Birthday, dearest Rah… Nine years after Taxiwaala, while we have grown into men, nothing has changed about your relentless passion to write meaningful stories and your calm obsession in bringing them to life,” he wrote.

As per sources, Ranabaali is believed to be inspired by real incidents from the 1850s that did not make it into mainstream history books. The film is reportedly expected to explore incidents that were allegedly misrepresented by the British in historical accounts.
