Imran Khan : Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan met his wife and sister. After about nine months, the family members have got permission to meet Imran Khan. This is his first meeting with his family this year. Imran Khan is lodged as a prisoner in Adiala Jail located in Rawalpindi. However, the government had not allowed his family members to meet him for the last several months. During this time only his lawyer was able to meet him.

Meanwhile, many types of news were coming out regarding the deteriorating health of Imran Khan. People close to him had recently filed a petition in the Supreme Court of Pakistan demanding to provide him treatment and allow his family members to meet him. After hearing the case, the Supreme Court ordered the immediate transfer of Imran Khan from jail to a private hospital in Islamabad. The court also directed to provide him proper medical facilities.

Also, the court allowed family members to meet him once a week. Apart from this, regular contact through phone was also allowed. After this, on Wednesday, after about nine months, Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi and his sister Noreen Nazi met him in Adiala jail. Both of them talked to Imran Khan for about 15 minutes and during this time inquired about his health. He also discussed with the jail authorities the issue of shifting Imran Khan to Shifa Hospital as per the court order.

Imran Khan: Possibility of taking Imran to hospital

Imran Khan is likely to be shifted to the hospital by the authorities as per the court order. The court has directed that he can stay there till September 16. The team of doctors has been instructed to submit a report to his health condition after complete treatment. The government has also been instructed to allow Imran Khan’s family doctors and lawyers to meet him during his treatment in the hospital. Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan was arrested by the Shehbaz Sharif government in August 2023 in corruption cases. Since then he has been in jail for almost three years.
