Automobile Desk: Maruti Suzuki, the leading automobile manufacturer of the Indian automobile market, has reviewed and revised the rates of its vehicle portfolio from August 2026. The company has taken this step to balance the financial pressure caused by the rising cost of raw materials and global economic factors. This price increase has affected most of the company's popular models sold through both Arena and Nexa retail networks.

In this new price revision of Maruti Suzuki, the highest increase has been seen in the premium hatchback Baleno, whose rates have increased by ₹ 30,000. It is noteworthy that the company is also working on a new facelift variant of Baleno, which is likely to be officially introduced on September 5, 2026. Additionally, prices of the recently entered all-electric SUV e Vitara have been increased by up to ₹20,000 and the price of off-roader SUV Jimny has been increased by up to ₹15,000. The price of Invicto, which is included in the premium range, has also seen an increase of up to ₹ 10,000.

If we talk about other popular vehicles in Nexa and Arena outlets, the price of crossover SUV Fronx has increased by up to ₹ 7,500. Similarly, the rates of 6-seater MPV XL6 have varied from ₹ 5,000 to ₹ 7,500. The Victoris, which has a strong foothold in the mid-size SUV segment, has seen rates go up by up to ₹10,000, while the Grand Vitara has seen a limited price hike of only ₹5,000, which is one of the lowest price hikes in the Nexa range.

There has also been a slight increase in the budget category and family car segment. Prices of entry-level car buyers' favorites Alto K10, S-Presso, Celerio and WagonR have increased by up to ₹2,500. The price of Super Carry, a light commercial vehicle for commercial use, has also been increased by ₹ 2,500.

The prices of the country's favorite hatchback Swift and compact SUV Brezza will now be up to ₹ 5,000 higher. There is a price difference of ₹ 5,000 to ₹ 7,000 for the family sedan Dzire and its taxi model Tour S. The 7-seater MPV Ertiga has become costlier by ₹5,000 to ₹7,500, while the rates of the multi-purpose van Eeco have been increased by ₹5,000.

According to the company, the demand for small and affordable cars remains strong in the Indian market. The automaker's long-term target is to sell more than 30 lakh vehicles per year, in which the entry-level and compact segments are going to play the most important role.
