Maritime security cooperation increased between India and Japan, Defense Ministers signed an agreement!

Cooperation will also be extended to the use of ports and maintenance and repair facilities. The possibility of cooperation in naval shipbuilding will also be expanded. Both ministers have agreed to rapidly advance maritime security cooperation. They talked about taking advantage of each other's expertise in enhancing the capability to deal with maritime mines.
Both sides have also agreed to explore possibilities of joint development and design of naval ships. Japan's technical expertise and India's production capacity will be used in this. India and Japan emphasized on taking advantage of each other's capabilities in areas to defense shipbuilding.
