India’s Under-12 Girls chess team won the Bronze Medal at the ASEAN Chess Championship in Singapore after scoring 14.5 points. The team featured Varenya Lakshmi Vaka, Aligiri Amrutha Hemal and Mumbai’s Maya Siddharth Narula. Vietnam won Gold with 19.5 points, while Singapore took Silver. The event featured over 700 players from 27 countries.
Mumbai: The Indian Under-12 Girls team has secured a Bronze Medal at the prestigious ASEAN Chess Championship, which concluded on Monday in Singapore at Tampines Hub, delivering a strong performance on the international stage.
The championship brought together 700+ players from 27 countries, making it one of the major international junior chess events in the region.

India’s Under-11 team comprising Varenya Lakshmi Vaka and Aligiri Amrutha Hemal of Andhra Pradesh and Maya Siddharth Narula of Mumbai put up an impressive performance to finish on the podium with a total tally of 14.5 points.
