He told the other participants, 'I am not a traitor and people are making a big mistake about me. This was a conspiracy to divert attention from the real traitors. Riya also said that her personality is not such that she follows the crowd or gets easily influenced by anyone.

Riya told that her decision is to the legal and mental struggle that started after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020. At that time, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested Riya and her brother in the drugs case, after which their character was defamed in the media.
