Taiwan’s Defence Ministry said it detected seven Chinese Navy vessels and seven official ships around its territory, while continuing to monitor Beijing’s military activity.
Taipei [Taiwan], August 23: Taiwan on Sunday detected 7 PLAN vessels and 7 official ships operating around its territory, as per the Ministry of National Defence (MND).
Taiwan monitors naval activity
Sharing the details in a post on X, the MND said that it monitored the situation and responded.
"7 PLAN vessels and 7 official ships operating around #Taiwan detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. #ROCArmedForces have monitored the situation and responded. No flight path illustration is provided, as we did not detect #PLA aircraft operating around Taiwan during this timeframe," it wrote on X.
