This is a fusion sweet in which the nutritional value of traditional Indian dry fruits and the wonderful taste of modern chocolate come together. Usually, children are a little fussy about eating traditional sweets made of mawa or gram flour, but their faces light up with joy when they hear the name of chocolate. On the other hand, the elders in the house like the local taste of dry fruits. This barfi is a perfect amalgamation of the tastes of both these generations, which is so easy to make that anyone can prepare it in a jiffy without burning gas or bothering with sugar syrup.

The method of making is very easy

To make this delicious sweet, you do not need any special cooking class or hours of hard work. Just get good quality dark or milk chocolate from the market. If you like a slightly bitter and rich taste, choose dark chocolate. If you are making it especially for children, then milk chocolate will be the best. First of all, take out the chocolate pieces in a glass or steel vessel and melt it thoroughly using the 'double boiler' method or microwave.

When the chocolate has completely melted and turned into a smooth paste, add plenty of finely chopped nuts of your choice. Cashews, almonds and pistachios add to the taste of this barfi. If you want, you can also add some raisins to it. Now mix these chopped nuts in melted chocolate very well so that each piece gets a thick and sweet layer of chocolate.

Once the mixture is ready, take a deep plate or square tray. Spread some butter paper on it so that the barfi can come out easily. Now put this chocolate and dry fruits mixture in the tray and with the help of a spoon, spread it evenly and set it. If you want, you can sprinkle some more finely chopped pistachios and almonds on top of it for decoration so that it looks exactly like a market.

Now keep this tray in the refrigerator for about one to two hours. When this mixture becomes completely hard and set, take it out. With the help of a sharp knife, cut it into squares or any barfi shape of your choice. That's it, your expensive and delicious 'Chocolate Dry-Fruit Barfi' is ready.

Unique confluence of purity and love

Expensive sweets sold in the market often contain high amounts of sugar and many times old dry fruits are used. But when you make it at home, purity is completely guaranteed. The nutrition of dark chocolate and dry fruits makes it a great option for health as well. You can pack it in colorful wrapping paper and decorate it in Rakhi thali. So this time say 'no' to the adulterated sweets of the market and double the sweetness of the festival with this delicious barfi made with your own hands.
