BPL: A big update has come out regarding the next season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). According to Tamim, BCB has suffered a loss of around 40 crore Bangladeshi Taka in the last two BPL seasons. He said that the board should be earning from franchise cricket, but at present it is not happening. Therefore he is not in favor of conducting the tournament in a hurry. He informed that talks have started with the franchisees. Along with the cases of teams that have defaulted in payments, issues to missed payments and bank guarantees are also being resolved.
Tamim said that if it takes 6 months, a year or even two years to fix these problems, he will wait. Their aim is to organize BPL again in such a way that BCB benefits rather than losses.
