New Delhi: The second and last lunar eclipse of the year 2026 is going to occur on August 28. This eclipse will fall on the day of Sawan Purnima i.e. Rakshabandhan. According to astronomical calculations, this will be a partial lunar eclipse. However, due to it being daytime in India, it will not be visible. There are different beliefs about eclipse in astrology and for some zodiac signs, it is advised to be careful during this period.
When and what time will the lunar eclipse occur?
According to Indian time, the lunar eclipse will start at around 6:54 am and end at 12:32 pm. Its partial phase will last from 8:04 am to 11:22 am. The peak time of the eclipse is said to be around 9:43 pm. At that time in India the Moon will be below the horizon, hence the eclipse will not be visible here.
According to astrological beliefs, this eclipse is believed to be to Aquarius and Shatabhisha constellation. Although the things to its effect on zodiac signs are based on religious and astrological beliefs, they are not considered scientific predictions.
