Good news for train passengers traveling between Gujarat and Bihar. Indian Railways is launching a new weekly Amrit Bharat Express between Ahmedabad and Bhagalpur. The booking for this train started from August 21. Passengers can book tickets through PRS counter and IRCTC. The launch of the new train will strengthen direct rail connectivity between the two states.
Train No. 19423 Ahmedabad-Bhagalpur Amrit Bharat Express will run from Ahmedabad every Wednesday from 26 August 2026. The train will depart from Ahmedabad at 6:30 pm and reach Bhagalpur at 6:40 am on Friday. Thus, the journey from Ahmedabad to Bhagalpur will be completed in approximately 36 hours and 10 minutes. On return, train number 19424 Bhagalpur-Ahmedabad will run from Bhagalpur every Friday from August 28. The train will depart at 4:45 PM and reach Ahmedabad at 5:25 AM on Sunday. It will take approximately 36 hours and 40 minutes on the return journey.
New Amrit Bharat Express has been given stoppages at several important stations. After leaving Ahmedabad, the train will stop at Anand, Chhayapuri, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Bhawani Mandi, Ramganj Mandi and Kota. Then the train will reach Bihar via Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bayana, Idgah Agra, Tundla, Govindpuri, Subedarganj and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction. Its major stoppages in Bihar include Buxar, Ara, Danapur, Patna, Bakhtiarpur, Mokama, Kiel, Abhaypur, Jamalpur and Sultanganj.
