- 2 cups gram flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup Sajuk ghee
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoons chopped cashews and almonds
- 1 tsp ghee to spread on the plate

- Heat ghee in a pan and add gram flour. Fry gram flour stirring constantly on low flame. Besan must be roasted until the raw smell goes away and it gives off a nice aroma.
- After roasting gram flour well, add milk little by little and stir continuously. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
- Keep the flame low and add powdered sugar and stir until the mixture becomes homogeneous. The mixture will start to thicken.
- Add cardamom powder and cashew-almond slices and mix well. Once the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan, switch off the flame.
- Grease a plate or tray and pour the prepared mixture into it. Spread it evenly with the help of a spoon.
- Spread the cashew-almond slices on top and press gently. Keep the barfi for some time to cool down completely.
