Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin is on the verge of joining Palermo. After negotiations were revived over the past few hours, the Rosanero accelerated their efforts and struck an agreement to take the former Juventus keeper to Sicily. As per Gianluca Di Marzio, the move will be a permanent transfer, with a three-year contract already prepared for Perin.

Palermo have pulled off a significant move by securing a goalkeeper with vast experience and a lengthy record at the highest level of Italian football. Perin, who was born in 1992, is now getting ready for a fresh chapter after his time at Juventus, a spell that now looks to have ended today.

The goalkeeper therefore appears to have played his last minutes in a Juventus shirt during the opening round of the league season against Frosinone. Perin was introduced in the closing phase of the game in place of new arrival Vicario, who had to go off because of cramp.

It turned into a symbolic final appearance before his move to Palermo, although there was one anxious moment when a Frosinone attempt struck the crossbar.
