Tehran, August 24, 2026 – One dollar is worth 2 million Riyals! America Iran is paying a heavy price for this conflict. Iran's economy has now deteriorated to such an extent that its Rial no longer has any international value. Due to the strong currency of the rial, food, medicines and daily necessities have become very expensive in Iran.

According to media reports, 20.2 lakh Iranian Rials have to be paid against one American dollar. This fall of the Iranian Rial has happened at a time when America is preparing to impose new sanctions on Tehran. America has said that the new sanctions will prove to be an economic pauper for Iran.

According to the report, with the opening of the market this morning, the Iranian Rial had reached the level of twenty lakhs against one American dollar. The official exchange rate in the Central Bank of Iran is 1.5 million per dollar. But most Iranian citizens have to pay market prices.
The currency of Iran, ravaged by the ravages of war, has been continuously breaking lows for a long time.

Fear of new US sanctions:

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant has announced to impose more stringent economic sanctions on Iran. America is also preparing to impose secondary sanctions on those countries which are still maintaining trade relations with Iran.

Trade with UAE suspended:

Amid increasing pressure from the US, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), one of Iran's largest trading partners, has also suspended all trade with Iran.

Iran's crisis still high

Iran's Foreign Ministry, reacting to the situation, has said that it will not remain silent in the face of any kind of economic pressure, while Iran's National Security Council has warned that the action of countries supporting US sanctions will be considered 'war-like'.
