Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has intensified the political stir in Punjab politics by taking a very important and big decision. BSP will now not join hands with any party in Punjab and will contest the elections completely alone. BSP supremo Mayawati has given this clear message in a high-level review meeting held with senior officials and in-charges of the Punjab State Organization at the party's central office in Lucknow.

Huge loss of vote share and seats from the alliance

During the meeting, BSP chief Mayawati closely assessed the party's support base and organizational activities. He said that the experience of previous elections shows that BSP has to suffer only loss by forming an alliance.

According to Mayawati, in the alliance, BSP's vote bank is easily transferred to the allies, but BSP candidates are not able to get the votes of other parties. This reduces the overall vote percentage of the party and leads to defeat even on winnable seats, which breaks the morale of the grassroots workers. Due to this bitter experience, now on the lines of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, it has been decided to contest elections alone in Punjab without any compromise.

Sharp attack on AAP, Congress and BJP

Discussing the current political situation in Punjab, Mayawati took on the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as well as the opposition Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He alleged that the people of Punjab are completely fed up with the anti-people attitude and hollow promises of these three parties.

Targeting the three parties on the issue of increasing poverty, unemployment and deteriorating law and order in the state, the BSP chief claimed that the people of Punjab are now seeing BSP as a strong and true alternative.

Only honest and dedicated workers will get tickets

Regarding the preparations for the upcoming elections, Mayawati has given strict instructions that only those workers who are hardworking, loyal and honest should be made candidates in the assembly constituencies.

He stressed that to implement the basic message of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and Honorable Shri Kanshi Ram of 'Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaay', the party will have to enter the electoral fray with candidates with a strong and clean image.

Strong preparations to celebrate Kanshi Ram's death anniversary on 9th October

At the end of the review meeting, Mayawati also shared the outline of upcoming organizational programs. He directed all the officials of Punjab to celebrate the death anniversary of the party's founder Honorable Shri Kanshi Ram on 9th October on a large scale and in a dignified manner in the entire state.

Apart from this, on the occasion of 'Public Welfare Day' on 15 January, a clear call was given to increase grassroots level activism to garner economic support and give impetus to the Ambedkarite mission.
