Report: Milan weighing up move for Manchester City’s Jack Grealish

Milan have reportedly shown interest in Jack Grealish, with the Manchester City forward’s future still unresolved in the final days of the transfer window.

According to Calciomercato.com, citing Football Insider, the Rossoneri have made contact with City over the England international, who spent last season on loan at Everton. A permanent return to Goodison Park had appeared likely, but the Merseyside club have now cooled their interest despite his valuation falling significantly.

The move would address a clear tactical requirement, as Ruben Amorim wants a trequartista who can also operate from the left in his 3-4-2-1 system before the deadline, especially with Rafael Leao’s exit still a genuine possibility.

Grealish’s contract runs out next summer, a factor that has pushed down the asking price, although reports suggest the fee could be anywhere between €10m and €15m. Milan are believed to need the price to be closer to the lower end of that range.

The 30-year-old has already featured for City, making a 14-minute substitute appearance in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Bournemouth. The key issue now is whether he is willing to fight for game time under Enzo Maresca or would rather make the switch to Serie A.

He had rediscovered his form in the early part of his Everton loan spell, scoring twice and registering six assists in his first 22 appearances, while also winning a Premier League Player of the Month award, before a foot injury disrupted his campaign.
