There are reports of 384 people missing in this sudden flood. 291 foreign nationals including 105 Indians have been reported missing. whose names have also been announced. There are reports that 93 Nepalese tourists are also missing in the flood incident. Rescue operations have been started by the Tourism Board. A major search operation has been conducted with the local authorities to search for locals and tourists.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and reviewed the situation. The administration has been alerted in six districts of Bihar and several teams of NDRF have been deployed for relief operations and have been instructed to be on high alert.
