The Premier League season has started, but clubs are still keen to strengthen their squads and finalise outgoing moves as the pressure created by early results begins to shape decision-making.

Premier League clubs have spent more than £2.5bn this summer, with Morgan Rogers becoming the biggest signing of the window at £117m.

Other major transfers to cross the £100m mark are Elliott Anderson’s £116m move to Manchester City and Sandro Tonali’s £100m switch to Tottenham.

However, more high-value deals could still be completed before the window closes. Liverpool are eager to invest heavily in a winger and have been linked with Bradley Barcola, while Arsenal have also been connected with the Paris Saint-Germain star.

Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming summer transfer window deadline:

The transfer window opened on Monday, 15 June, and in England the deadline falls on Tuesday, 1 September, with the window closing at 11pm BST.

There is also a two-hour grace period after the official closing time, allowing paperwork to be submitted.

As with the English transfer window, the Scottish window officially opened on 15 June, but north of the border it closes on 3 September at 5pm BST, two days after the Premier League deadline.

The Women’s Super League transfer window opened on Tuesday, 16 June, and will close on Thursday, 3 September, with a later deadline of 11pm BST.

LaLiga’s transfer window closes at 10.59pm on 1 September, while Bundesliga clubs must complete their buying and selling before the 31 August deadline at 7pm.

Serie A clubs have until 1 September, with their deadline set for 8pm.

Mid-season signings will be possible when the transfer window reopens in England on 1 January, 2027, and it closes again on 1 February at the later time of 11pm GMT.

In Scotland, the window opens four days after the Premier League, on 5 January, and then closes on 4 February at 5pm GMT.

In the Women’s Super League, the window opens on 4 January and closes on 4 February, the same day as in Scotland.
