Apart from these, all bank services were functioning normally in the remaining states. Now tomorrow is Saturday, hence the question running in the minds of many customers is whether the banks are closed tomorrow.

Will banks remain closed on 29 August 2026?

According to the holiday calendar of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), tomorrow is the fifth Saturday of the month, hence banks are not closed but are open. Tomorrow all government and private banks like Axis, HDFC, ICICI, Bank of India, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, State Bank as well as Corporation Bank etc. will remain open tomorrow.

Banks were closed even due to local festivals

Banks are closed in many places today due to local or regional festivals. Rakshabandhan itself is not the reason behind this. Banks were closed on 29 August due to many festivals like Shri Narayana Guru Jayanti and Ayyankali Jayanti etc.
