Dialogue with workers in Saifai and attack on government National President of Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav met party workers and general public in his native village Saifai on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. During this, while talking to the media, he made a sharp political attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of the state and the centre. Akhilesh raised serious questions on the government's policies on many issues like women's safety, inflation, condition of farmers and education system.

Accusation of selling the ideas of Jayaprakash Narayan Akhilesh Yadav raised questions on the basic ideology of BJP and mentioned Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan. He said that at the time of formation, BJP had tried to link itself with socialist thinking by keeping the picture of JP, today the same people are selling his name and ideas. According to the SP chief, no expectation of public interest or public welfare can be expected from those who can sell JP's ideals.

Issue of inflation and corporate nexus Attacking the government on the rising inflation in India, Akhilesh said that the charm of the markets has disappeared and the festivals have become dull. Referring to the skyrocketing prices of sugar and ethanol blending in petrol, he alleged that all this is being done as part of a well-planned strategy. The government is engaged in profiteering and is collecting donations from selected industrialists by providing them benefits.

Questions raised on education and farmer policies Taking aim at the industrial policies and MOUs of Uttar Pradesh, the SP President said that due to the agreements being made with big companies, there is a danger of farmers losing their farming in the future. He alleged that the government is trying to implement the three repealed agricultural laws through the back door in some form or the other. Along with this, he accused the government of ruining the construction work of approved primary schools in Saifai and Lucknow and said that the present government is not serious about promoting education in the state.

Promise of new policy for women Outlining the future political priorities, Akhilesh said that if the Samajwadi Party government is formed in the coming time, the safety, respect and health of women will be given top priority. For this, concrete and effective policy decisions will be implemented in the state.
