Fenerbahçe are getting ready to renew their attempt to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford after booking qualification for the Champions League, according to Sabah.
The club are looking to add proven international quality to Jose Mourinho’s squad as the transfer window moves into its closing phase, with the 28-year-old England international regarded as a marquee option.
After reaching the expanded 36-team Champions League phase, Fenerbahçe want to build a squad capable of making a deep run in the competition.
Mourinho’s earlier spell working with Rashford at Old Trafford is being viewed as an important element in the club’s approach to the player.
Club officials are examining the terms and financial structure needed to bring Rashford to Istanbul, while also completing other late-window signings before the deadline for European squad registration.
Any deal would require discussions with the player’s representatives as well as Manchester United, and Fenerbahçe are hoping to finish matters in time to integrate him into their Süper Lig and Champions League campaigns.
