Ather Energy has officially launched its new ‘Konarc’ electric scooter in the Indian market on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Launched with a starting price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom), the scooter is the first production model based on the company’s new EL platform. It has different range options from 100 km to 200 km with integrated onboard charging.

Variants, price and delivery timeline

The company plans to offer Konarc in two main models—S and Z. Ather has announced the prices of three variants of the Konarc S during the launch:

• Konarc S (100 km IDC range): ₹99,999 (ex-showroom) | Delivery start: Q1 2027
• Konarc S (125 km IDC range): ₹1,21,999 (ex-showroom) | Delivery start: September 2026
• Konarc S (161 km IDC range): ₹1,44,999 (ex-showroom) | Delivery start: September 2026

The company will launch the top Konarc S variant with 200 km range in Q3 2027, while prices and deliveries of the premium Konarc Z variants will be revealed in Q2 2027.

Battery, power and performance

The Konarc S model is offered with three different battery capacities. All three batteries have aluminum casing for protection and come with IP67 water and dust resistance rating:

• 2.1 kWh battery (100 km range): 4 kW peak power, 0 to 40 km/h acceleration in 5.0 seconds, top speed 70 km/h.
• 2.7 kWh battery (125 km range): 4.7 kW peak power, 16 Nm torque, 0 to 40 km/h acceleration in 4.7 seconds, top speed 70 km/h.
• 3.5 kWh battery (161 km range): 4.7 kW peak power, 16 Nm torque, 0 to 40 km/h acceleration in 4.7 seconds, top speed 70 km/h.

To improve the riding experience, it has been provided with three riding modes – SmartEco, Eco, and Power.

Integrated charging technology

The biggest feature of the EL platform is its built-in charging system. A 450W onboard charger is available as standard in all three variants. This means that riders will not need to carry a separate bulky charger and it can be connected directly to any household power socket. Time taken to charge from 0 to 80% using charger:

• 2.1 kWh model: approximately 4 hours
• 2.7 kWh model: approximately 4 hours 30 minutes
• 3.5 kWh model: approximately 5 hours 40 minutes

Wheels, Brakes and Utility Features

The scooter has 14-inch (90/90-14) alloy wheels at the front and 12-inch (100/90-12) alloy wheels at the rear. The 100 km base variant has drum brakes on both wheels, while the 125 km and 161 km models have a 220mm disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. Apart from this, it also has 31 liters of underseat storage, USB charging port and reverse park assist.

Digital Display and Connectivity

The base 100 km model has a 4.2-inch DeepView display, while the 125 km and 161 km variants have a larger 7-inch screen. The upper variants include modern features like AirWalk, Autohold, Bluetooth call/music alert, anti-theft alert, turn-by-turn navigation and mobile app connectivity.
