Indian Railways has taken a major step to provide high-class and affordable travel experience to low and middle income group passengers on long distance journeys. Railway Board has established a network connecting the major industrial, cultural and metropolitan cities of the country. 7 New Amrit Bharat Express Formal approval has been given for the operation of trains. With the launch of these new trains, lakhs of daily and long distance passengers of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Telangana will benefit from direct and fast connectivity. Equipped with Push-Pull locomotive technology, these trains will ensure safe and comfortable travel along with reaching the destination in less time.

This train will directly connect the Koylanchal region of Eastern India with Coimbatore, the major textile industry center of South India.

• Major routes and stops: Coimbatore via Dhanbad Junction, Gomoh, Parasnath, Koderma, Gaya, Sasaram, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Mirzapur, Prayagraj Chhivki, Katni, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Balharshah, Warangal, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Renigunta, Katpadi, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur.

• Benefit: Workers, students and patients working in South India from Bihar, Jharkhand and UP will get direct train at low cost.

This service will prove to be very important for the passengers going from the border areas of Purvanchal and Bihar to the country’s financial capital Mumbai.

• Major routes and stops: Gorakhpur, Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda, Lucknow (Badshahnagar/Aishbagh), Kanpur Central, Tundla, Agra Fort, Bayana, Gangapur City, Kota, Shamgarh, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, Borivali and Bandra Terminus.

• Benefit: Passengers going to Mumbai from Western Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat will get the facility of confirmed tickets and direct travel.

There is always heavy pressure of passengers between the capital Delhi and eastern Uttar Pradesh.

• Major routes and stops: Old Delhi via Gorakhpur, Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda, Burhwal, Sitapur, Bareilly, Moradabad and Ghaziabad.

• Benefit: Commuters from Purvanchal, Rohilkhand and Sitapur will get an additional and time bound superfast option to reach Delhi.

This train will directly connect Telangana state of South India with Gorakhpur of Uttar Pradesh.

• Major routes and stops: Charlapalli, Kazipet, Peddapalli, Mancherial, Nagpur, Betul, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi, Kanpur Central, Lucknow (Gomti Nagar), Barabanki and Gonda.

• Benefit: This train will prove to be a boon during the festive season for North Indians working in Hyderabad and IT corridor.

Direct rail connectivity will be established between Tirtharaj Prayagraj and Gujarat’s major textile and diamond industry city Surat (Udhna).

• Major routes and stops: Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Govindpuri (Kanpur), Etawah, Tundla, Eidgah Agra, Bayana, Hindaun City, Gangapur City, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Ramganj Mandi, Bhawani Mandi, Ratlam, Vadodara and Udhna.

• Benefit: Malwa region of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will give impetus to trade movement between Gujarat and UP.

This superfast weekly service has got the green signal to reduce the long waiting list of passengers between Prayagraj and Mumbai.

• Major routes and stops: Mumbai LTT via Prayagraj, Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Bhusaval and Kalyan.

• Benefit: Due to limited stops at major stations, this train will complete the journey from Prayagraj to Mumbai in less time.

This is another important Amrit Bharat train connecting Mumbai via Bundelkhand.

• Major routes and stops: Subedarganj (Prayagraj), Fatehpur, Govindpuri, Banda, Chitrakootdham Karvi, Satna, Maihar, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Pipariya, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Nashik Road, Kalyan and Thane.

• Benefit: People from religious and backward areas like Banda, Chitrakoot and Maihar will get the means to travel directly to Mumbai and Nashik.

Amrit Bharat Express is the first non-AC train in the country which has been built on semi-high speed and modern design.

• Push-Pull Technique: WAP-5 electric engines are installed at both ends (front and rear) of the train, which makes its acceleration and de-acceleration very fast and reduces the travel time.

• Modern Coaches and Security: The train is equipped with jerk-free couplers (jerk-free travel), ergonomic sleeper and general seats, mobile charging points, zero-discharge bio-vacuum toilets, LED lights and CCTV cameras for security.

• Affordable fare: In comparison to premium trains like Vande Bharat or Rajdhani, its fare has been kept very low and very close to the sleeper and general classes of normal express trains.
