New Delhi: Now the use of earbuds will not be limited to just listening to songs or making phone calls. Indian audio device company boAt has introduced its new Crest AI platform based on Artificial Intelligence. The company has developed it in partnership with Google Cloud, using Google Gemini's AI technology.
According to the company, devices equipped with Crest AI will be able to understand users' questions and respond in real time. Its aim is to make earbuds and other audio devices smarter and personalized.
Natural conversation will happen through Gemini Live
Gemini Live is integrated into Crest AI. Through this, users will be able to communicate with AI continuously and like a normal conversation.
The company says that this technology is a step towards bridging the distance between traditional audio hardware and AI computing. boAt and Google Cloud will also work on making AI experiences available in different languages and dialects in India.
Google Cloud infrastructure and Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform will be used for this entire system.
Now you can control Gmail and Calendar also
The specialty of Crest AI is not limited to just conversations. It will also be integrated with Google Workspace.
Through this, users will be able to do work to tools like Gmail, Google Tasks and Google Calendar with the help of voice commands. For example, work to email, managing tasks or viewing important tasks in the calendar can be done through voice.
In the future, voice commands can also help in tasks like preparing an email reply or scheduling a meeting.
Crest Translate will provide real time translation
A feature called Crest Translate is also provided in Crest AI. Its purpose is to make communication easier between people speaking two different languages.
It is designed to provide two-way language translation in real time. This can help when traveling, working, or communicating with people who speak different languages.
Crest Ask will answer questions
The second major feature is Crest Ask. Through this, users will be able to ask questions in the style of a normal conversation and get answers from AI.
This feature can help in learning, generating new ideas and obtaining different information along with answering everyday questions.
What does boAt say?
According to Gaurav Nayyar, CEO of boAt, the purpose of including Google Gemini in Crest AI devices is to go beyond traditional voice assistants and create conversational AI agents that can help users with different needs.
According to the company, features like answering voice questions, device control, music playback, productivity, language translation and FAQ support are being combined into a single experience through Crest AI.
With Google Cloud infrastructure, boAt aims to bring this AI-based experience to a larger scale of users in India. In such a situation, in the coming time, earbuds may be seen working like a personal AI assistant rather than just a device for listening to audio.
