Dates of holidays in September as per RBI holiday calendar: September 4: Banks will remain closed in many states including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Kerala, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of Janmashtami (Vaishnav)/Krishna Jayanti. 6 September: Sunday will be a public holiday. 12 September: It will be a bank holiday as it is the second Saturday. 13 September: Sunday will be a public holiday. 14 September: Banks will remain closed in Maharashtra, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Telangana, Goa and Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi/Vinayak Chaturthi/Ganesh Puja. September 15: Anniversary holiday September 21: Banks will remain closed in Assam and Kerala to observe the birth anniversary and Narayana Guru Samadhi of Srimanta Sankardev. 22 September: Banks will remain closed in Jharkhand on the occasion of Karma Puja. September 23: There will be a bank holiday in Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singhji. September 25: Banks will remain closed in Sikkim on the occasion of Indra Jatra festival. Additionally, banks will remain closed for a total of 14 days in September, including regular Sundays and second and fourth Saturday holidays. The closure of bank branches does not mean that your banking services will stop. You can continue using digital services without any interruption even during holidays. You can withdraw or deposit cash from the ATM. Digital payments and money transfers through Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm or BHIM UPI will continue. Regular account services, NEFT/IMPS transfers and bill payments can be done from the comfort of your home.
