Uttarakhand Women Commission: In today's rapidly changing digital world, technology has become an important part of our lives. As much as mobile and internet have provided facilities, they have also created equal challenges. Cases of increasing cyber crime and online fraud against women are continuously coming to light. In such a time, it has become very important to make women alert and technically competent. In this direction, Uttarakhand State Women Commission has taken a commendable and important step. A special campaign is being started by the Commission to teach women the new generation technology Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI and to make them aware about prevention from cyber crimes. This event is a unique effort to connect women with the power of modern technology and keep them safe from digital threats.
Digital awareness platform will be set up in Rishikesh
This special awareness program will be organized on September 1, 2026 from 10 am. For this program, the grand Vivekananda Auditorium of Pandit Lalit Mohan Sharma Campus, Sridev Suman Uttarakhand University located in the pilgrimage city Rishikesh has been selected. A lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the students and women in the university campus and surrounding areas regarding this big event. The Commission believes that through such events, women will be able to overcome the fear of technology and move forward with confidence.
Emphasis on protection from cyber fraud and creating digital shield
While explaining about the program in detail, Member Secretary of the State Women Commission, Urvashi Chauhan said that in the present time, making women digitally aware is the biggest need. Today, crimes like unknown links on the internet, fake identities on social media, online financial fraud and blackmailing are increasing. Due to lack of information, many times women get trapped in the trap of these fraudsters. In this workshop, cyber security experts will tell women how they can keep their social media accounts safe and what steps they can take immediately in case of any kind of online fraud. Apart from this, information about legal rights and helpline numbers will also be given so that they can get help at the right time in any difficult situation.
AI tools will open paths to progress in career and business
The program will not be limited to security only, but it will also open doors for development and new opportunities for women. Artificial Intelligence is today bringing revolutionary changes in the fields of education, employment, industry and business. In the program, experts will teach how girl students can take the help of AI to improve their studies. Also, women who want to work from home or run their own business, how can they make their work bigger with the help of AI. By using AI tools in the field of content creation, designing, marketing and writing, women can become self-reliant and find new means of employment sitting at home.
You will get practical understanding through live demonstration
The biggest feature of this workshop will be that not only speeches will be given, but modern AI tools will be demonstrated live. Technical experts will demonstrate various AI software and tools live from the stage. This will enable all the participants present there to understand how to use these tools safely and correctly. When women see the technology working in front of their eyes, their hesitation will end and they will also be inspired to use it properly.
Women's Commission appealed to participate enthusiastically
Uttarakhand State Women Commission has appealed to all the girl students, working women, housewives and common citizens of the state to participate in this important program in large numbers. The message of the Commission is clear that digital literacy is the biggest strength of women. When women understand technology and use it safely, only then will they be able to move forward with equality in the society. This event will definitely serve to give a new perspective and technical confidence to the women of Devbhoomi.
