The draft voter list of Special Intensive Revision i.e. SIR (Special Intensive Revision) of the voter list in Delhi has been released on Monday, 31 August 2026. The process of SIR was going on in 13 districts of Delhi for the last two months. Now voters can check whether their name is included in the draft list or not. Voters need not panic if their names are not found in the draft list. Eligible voters can lodge claims or objections within the prescribed period under the SIR process. For this, the procedure and time limit set by the Election Department will have to be followed.
How to check your name in the draft voter list
To see the name in the SIR draft roll, voters will have to visit the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi (CEO Delhi). A page to SIR Draft Roll has been made available on the website. To check the name, first open the page. After this you will have to select your District, Assembly Constituency and Language. After this, proceed by filling the given captcha code. After submitting the captcha, PDF files of the draft voter list of the concerned assembly constituency will be visible. Voters can check their name, voter details and their entry in the respective list by opening these PDFs.
The draft voter list was released on Monday under Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Delhi. There are a total of 1,45,10,299 registered voters in Delhi. Of these, names of about 47.7 lakh voters have not been included in the draft list. According to officials, during the door-to-door campaign conducted under SIR, only about 97.5 lakh voters' enumeration forms could be collected and digitized. This is about 67.18 percent of the total voters of Delhi.
Why are 47.7 lakh names not visible?
According to officials, names of voters whose enumeration forms could not be submitted or digitized as per the prescribed process have not been included in the draft list. However, this does not mean that the names of these voters have been permanently removed from the final voter list. Voters whose names are not in the draft list will be given an opportunity to get their names included by filing claims and objections.
Claims and objections from 31 August to 30 September
According to the Election Department, after the release of the draft list, claims and objections can be filed from August 31 to September 30, 2026. During this time, eligible voters can claim to have their names included in the voter list along with the necessary documents. The voter list will be finalized after scrutiny of claims and objections. The final voter list of Delhi is to be published on 4 November 2026.
What to do if the name is out of the draft list?
If your name is not in the draft voter list of SIR, but you are eligible as a voter, you will have to file a claim to get your name included. For this, the process of filing claims and objections has started. Affected voters can submit their claims till 30 September 2026. While filing the claim, necessary documents and information will have to be provided as per the prescribed procedure. The claims received by the election officials will be investigated. If necessary, verification of information will also be done. After the completion of the investigation and verification process, it will be decided whether the name of the concerned voter is to be included in the final voter list or not.
When can I get my name added?
30 September 2026 is the most important date for including names in the draft voter list of SIR. The process of filing claims and objections will end on this day. Therefore, eligible voters whose names are not in the draft list will have to file their claims within the stipulated time limit. After receiving the claims and objections, the election officials will examine the respective applications. As per need, the process of issuing notices to voters and settling their claims will also be done. This process will continue till 29 October 2026. The voter list will be finalized after investigation and disposal of claims and objections. The final voter list of Delhi will be published on 4 November 2026.
