Delhi Police said on Monday that school bus driver Vikas had sexually abused the girl. When the victim’s mother interrogated the girl, she told about a ‘bad uncle’ present in the school, who used to give her chocolates. The girl was not able to tell the name of the accused, after which the family informed the school administration about the matter.

According to the police, on August 24, the girl was shown photographs and CCTV footage in school, after seeing which the girl identified the accused driver Vikas. After this, the police was informed and an FIR was registered under the sections of POCSO Act.

Later, taking action, the police arrested the accused Vikas from the school premises. Investigation revealed that the accused had been driving a cab to the school for about 8 months. In the CCTV footage, the accused was seen roaming around with chocolates in his pocket.

It is alleged that the driver followed the girl while she was going to the bathroom, gave her chocolate and touched her inappropriately under the stairs. Police have seized the mobile phone of the accused, in which several videos have been found of feeding chocolate to small children. The children seen in the video are being identified and counselled. The police have also captured the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the school premises.

Earlier, Delhi Police arrested the driver and conductor of a sleeper bus in connection with the alleged gang rape of a minor in Kashmere Gate area. The girl had reached Delhi by bus from Greater Noida. It is alleged that the driver and conductor allegedly gang-raped her during the night.
