Mumbai: Due to the rise in crude oil prices and increasing tension between America and Iran, there was pressure in the domestic stock market during early trading on Tuesday. Investor sentiment was affected amid weak global cues and Sensex and Nifty opened with losses.

BSE Sensex fell 121.48 points to 76,835.79 in early trade. Whereas NSE Nifty was seen trading at 24,027.80 points falling 52.6 points.

The biggest decline in these shares

Among the 30 companies included in the Sensex, shares of Bajaj Finserv, InterGlobe Aviation, Titan, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance and Axis Bank were the biggest losers in early trade.

In contrast, shares of ITC, HCL Tech, Bharti Airtel and Infosys registered a rise.

Pressure in Asian markets too

Along with the domestic market, major stock markets of Asia also remained weak on Tuesday. South Korea's Kospi, Japan's Nikkei 225 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng were trading with losses. However, China's SSE Composite remained in the lead.

Earlier on Monday, American markets also closed with a decline.

Brent crude crosses $91

The futures price of international oil standard Brent crude oil rose 0.76 percent to $ 91.22 per barrel. The increase in crude oil prices is being considered as one of the major factors increasing pressure on the market.

Apart from this, the renewed tension between America and Iran has also increased the concern of investors.

Heavy selling by FIIs

According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) made a net sale of shares worth Rs 7,985.88 crore on Monday.

Earlier on Monday also there was a decline in the domestic market. Sensex closed with a fall of 307.24 points and Nifty with a fall of 95.25 points.

In early trading on Tuesday, investors are now keeping an eye on the trend of global markets, crude oil prices and signals to geopolitical tensions.
