Days of Our Lives star Nadia Bjorlin has addressed her possible return. The actress revealed why she turned down another run as Chloe Lane. Bjorlin also opened up about her connection with Salem.
Nadia Bjorlin explains why she isn’t returning as Chloe on Days of Our Lives
Nadia Bjorlin last played the character before leaving in 2023. Bjorlin appeared in an interview with DAYS alum Kyler Pettis. They spoke with Michael Fairman while promoting their film Veronica & Julian.
During the conversation, Fairman brought up Chloe’s possible recasting. There have been reports that Sofia Mattsson could replace Bjorlin. However, Days of Our Lives has not confirmed those reports. When asked about the speculation, she said, “Oh, I’m not allowed — okay, I can’t say anything [on that subject].”
However, Bjorlin did confirm something about her situation. She revealed that Days of Our Lives actually contacted her. She said, “What I can confirm is that they did ask me. But logistically, it just didn’t make sense.”
Bjorlin also discussed the realities of television production, including budgets, saying, “TV now and budgets and whatnot. It just didn’t make any sense, and I said no.” Still, turning down the opportunity wasn’t easy for Bjorlin.
She admitted, “It hurt my heart to have to say no.” She also addressed the possibility of another actress playing Chloe. “So, I guess I can confirm that it will not be me playing Chloe if there’s a Chloe that comes back,” Bjorlin added.
She was asked how she’d feel about another actress. Bjorlin described it, saying, “It’s a different chapter of my life. I wish another actor all the best, obviously, and whatnot, if that was their decision…. It’s okay. I’m okay because they did ask me and I said no.”
Bjorlin declined the offer and was not surprised by the recast. She still considers Days of Our Lives an important part of her life. Bjorlin now lives in Ireland with her husband, Grant Turnbull, and their two sons. She first joined Days of Our Lives as Chloe in 1999 and last left the show in 2023.
