Attendance will be taken three times, teachers will also have to wear uniform, strictness in Himachal schools

Now a new system will be implemented in 150 government CBSE schools of Himachal Pradesh to monitor the attendance of students and teachers. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, while presiding over the meeting of the Education Department, has given instructions to register attendance thrice a day.

 

According to the instructions of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, under the new system, it will be mandatory to register attendance in schools at the time of arrival in the morning, during lunch break and during holidays. The aim of the government is to further improve the discipline and teaching system in schools. According to reports, earlier reports of negligence had come to light from many places.

 

dress code for teachers

Different dress codes will be prescribed for teachers and students in these CBSE schools. As per government instructions, dress code for teachers will be mandatory from October 1, 2026. Each teacher will be given a one-time financial assistance of Rs 5,000 to purchase the prescribed dress. The decision regarding the school uniform of the students will be taken in the next one week.

Appointment of 1,200 teachers

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that about 1,200 teachers have already been appointed in CBSE schools of the state. He assured that more teachers will be recruited in the coming time. The government will provide additional Rs 80 crore to improve the quality of education in these schools.

 

Education Minister and Integrated Officer were present

The Chief Minister said that the government's focus is on providing quality education close to home, especially to the children of rural areas. He instructed the Education Department to effectively implement new systems and continuously improve the facilities of schools. Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Advocate General Anup Ratan, Secretary Education Rakesh Kanwar and other senior officials were present in this meeting.
