Tezzbuzz Desk – The fire department has taken strict action regarding the Camac Street office of Trinamool Congress General Secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee in Kolkata. The department has issued an order to vacate the 6th and 7th floors of the building. Apart from this, instructions have been given to vacate the basement also. During the fire audit, many safety flaws have come to light in these parts.

According to fire department officials, the building located at 9 Camac Street was recently conducted a fire safety audit. During the investigation, many deficiencies were found in the fire safety system on the 6th and 7th floors of Abhishek Banerjee's office. The most important thing that came to light was that the fire license of these floors had now expired.

According to the information, the last fire audit of these two floors was done in the year 2023. At that time the fire license was issued for three years, the validity of which has now expired. Along with this, recent investigation also revealed that the fire alarm and sprinkler system were not working.

eviction order after notice

The fire department says that the 6th and 7th floors have been taken on rent. A notice had been issued earlier also regarding security deficiencies, but reportedly no response was received from the office. After this, an order was issued to vacate both the floors under Section 11C of the Fire Safety Act.

According to officials, these floors cannot be used until the fire license is renewed and safety deficiencies are rectified.

Defects were found in the basement also

The basement of the building was also examined during the fire audit. According to officials, necessary fire safety arrangements were not fully followed in the basement parking. In view of these shortcomings, instructions have been given to vacate the basement also.

Now the question is what action is taken by Abhishek Banerjee's office after the notice. Abhishek Banerjee is currently said to be out of the country. In such a situation, an eye will be kept on what further action is taken by his assistant Sumit Roy and other office employees.

There was controversy earlier also regarding hoardings

This matter to Abhishek Banerjee's Camac Street office has come to light at a time when a few days ago there was a dispute over the removal of hoardings there. Kolkata Municipal Corporation officials had arrived to remove the hoarding. During this time, it was revealed that officers had an argument with Abhishek Banerjee and his supporters.

In this matter, the alleged scuffle between Abhishek Banerjee and the police was also discussed and a case has been registered in this regard. Now, after the new order issued regarding fire safety, the matter regarding his office located on Camac Street is once again in discussion.
