Mahtari Vandana Yojana: This news is crucial for women awaiting the September installment of the Mahtari Vandana Yojana. Although the month of September has begun, the scheme's installment will not be credited to your bank account this time. Why is that? Let’s understand the full reason.

Mahtari Vandana Yojana: The Chhattisgarh government has already disbursed the September installment of the Mahtari Vandana Yojana to women. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai released the scheme's installment on August 25. This amount was transferred to women's bank accounts before Raksha Bandhan. A total of 6,728,918 women across the state benefited from this installment.

This simply means that the installment for September has already been credited to your account. Therefore, you will not receive the Mahtari Vandana Yojana amount again in September. If you are waiting for a notification regarding the installment's arrival in your bank account, do not expect a new payment this month. You will now have to wait for the next installment, which is scheduled to be released in October. If the September amount has already reached your account, there is no need to worry; the government has already disbursed this month's installment in advance.

Mahtari Vandana Yojana was launched in March 2024

The Chhattisgarh government launched the Mahtari Vandana Yojana in March 2024 to make women financially strong and self-reliant. Its objectives include reducing gender inequality, improving women's health and nutrition, and empowering them financially. The scheme also aims to strengthen women's ability to make important decisions within their families.

Benefits of the scheme

Financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month: Under the Mahtari Vandana Yojana, eligible women receive ₹1,000 every month. This amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). Benefits for women receiving pensions: Women who are already receiving a pension under a social assistance program or any other pension scheme—and whose monthly pension is less than ₹1,000—are provided the difference under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. In other words, the total amount is brought up to ₹1,000.
