Various types of news have been coming out for quite some time regarding his relationship with his wife Sunita Ahuja. Sunita has made serious allegations against Govinda on several occasions and has also given statements regarding his alleged extra-marital affair.

Now for the first time Govinda has given a mysterious statement regarding this entire controversy. Although, he did not directly take the name of Sunita Ahuja or any alleged affair, but his words are being linked to the current controversy.

'Many things have been written in the air'

Recently, during a conversation with the media at a program, Govinda was asked about his personal life. On this the actor said that there are many things which need to be cleared. He hinted that many things about him were “written in thin air”.

Govinda said that he wants the truth of all these issues to come out soon. He also talked about praying to God and expressed confidence that he would be able to clarify these things.

After this statement of Govinda, once again the discussions regarding his relationship with Sunita Ahuja have intensified.

The married life of Govinda and Sunita Ahuja has been in the headlines for some time now. Sunita had publicly accused the actor of cheating. He had also raised questions about Govinda's alleged relationship with his upcoming film 'Roopa' co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar.

Sunita had withdrawn the divorce petition

The biggest turning point in the relationship between Govinda and Sunita came when Sunita Ahuja withdrew her divorce petition filed in Bandra Family Court. After he reached the court on 19 August 2026, this matter again gained momentum. Later, Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha confirmed that Sunita has withdrawn the divorce petition.

According to reports, this petition was filed in December 2024. It reportedly mentioned grounds such as adultery, cruelty and abandonment. After the petition was withdrawn, Govinda's manager had said that there is no separation between the two.

There was also discussion about family

Sunita was seen outside the Bandra Family Court with son Yashvardhan Ahuja in August. After this, once again the question started arising among the people whether everything is fine between Govinda and Sunita or not.

Govinda's manager had also expressed displeasure over this entire matter becoming public. He said that the personal differences of the family should have been resolved sitting inside the house.

Govinda and Sunita got married in 1987.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja got married on 11 March 1987. Both of them did not make their marriage public for a long time. Later people came to know about their marriage.

Both of them have two children – daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja. Despite their long married life, their relationship has remained a topic of public discussion for some time now.

Amidst the ongoing discussions in his personal life, Govinda is also active on his professional front. The actor is in the news for his upcoming films 'Roopa' and 'Duniyadari'. In the recent program, he also thanked his fans for the love and support they have received over the years and talked about waiting for the release of these films.
