When should FIR be lodged?

If your documents are stolen or lost, you can lodge an FIR. While filing online report you will have to select the option of 'Lost Report'.

Process for filing online report

– If you want to file a report of lost document in Delhi, you have to go to the Lost and Found portal of the police.

– First of all go to the official website of lostfound.delhipolice.gov.in.

– Click on 'Lost Report' option here.

– Now fill your name, parent's name, mobile number, email ID, address, district, city and pin code.

– After this give information about the lost document.

Information required while filing report

You will have to provide information about Aadhar Card, Office ID Card, PAN Card, Driving License or other required documents.

– Apart from this, you will have to tell the place and district where the document was lost.

– You must also indicate the day on which the document was lost, enter the date. If the time is known, fill that also.

– Finally, complete the captcha and submit the report. After the report is filed, you will get a Lost/LR number, keep it safe.

– With the help of this number you can check the status of your report on the Delhi Police portal.
